The Rhode Island Senior Games (RISG) table tennis tournament was recently hosted by/at the Rhode Island Table Tennis Association (RITTA) in Manville RI. It was another successful year as a new attendance record for total players and a new attendance record for women players was set. Athletes represented RI and several additional states and ranged in age from 57 to 86 years young!
RITTA board president, Chuck Cavicchio, celebrated a full 2 decades of RISG involvement and noted “I’ve enjoyed running RISG Table tennis for the past 20 years and seeing the benefits of physical activity in all our participants! Senior Games provide the camaraderie and challenge of competitive sports to older adults, promote health and well-being, and inspire participants to keep moving.”
